Displayce and TikTok have launched what the two companies are calling a global first: an out-of-home advertising campaign for Aveeno’s Face Moisturiser SPF 50 that changes its message in real time based on the weather. The campaign, built on TikTok’s “out-of-phone” format and adapted from content by skincare creator Gemma Adby, runs across premium digital screens in London, Manchester and Bristol. Sunny weather triggers sun protection reminders, while cloudy days shift the messaging to emphasize UV exposure despite lower visibility, making Aveeno the first skincare and beauty brand in the UK to use the format. “We’re proud to be the first skincare and beauty brand in the UK pioneering this innovative way,” said Emily Barman, Aveeno UK Marketing Manager.

Why it matters: the campaign generated 4 million impressions along with a 4 point brand attribution lift above benchmark, a 24 point uplift in brand image and a 26 point uplift in purchase consideration against a control group, and both TikTok and Displayce are framing it as proof that creator content can move off the platform into premium physical environments without losing its identity. “Out-of-phone brings trusted creator-led content off platform and into the real world,” said Dan Page, TikTok’s Global Head of Media and Licensing. Pablo Fugazza, Displayce’s Tech Partnerships Director, added that “this campaign demonstrates how creator-led content can move beyond the smartphone into premium environments.”

The original insight here is what got measured, not just what got built. The campaign was designed from the outset around a benchmark and a control group, borrowing digital media’s proof-of-performance standard for a format, out-of-home, that has historically leaned on reach and recall rather than attribution lift. That is a meaningful shift for how creator-led inventory gets sold outside of apps. Weather has already become a targeting signal inside retail media, and this campaign shows the same real-time logic extending into contextual, programmatic out-of-home, with brand attribution increasingly the metric CMOs are asked to defend budgets against.
