Magnite and LG Ad Solutions extended their partnership by three years on October 14, and LG’s Home Screen inventory can now be bought by software agents through Magnite’s Seller Agent.

What happened

In its announcement, Magnite said its SpringServe platform continues as LG Ad Solutions’ exclusive CTV video ad server, and that Magnite stays a preferred programmatic partner across North America, APAC and EMEA. The agentic buying path builds on the companies’ existing programmatic integration.

Independent agency H/L is the first buyer to use it, on behalf of the Northern California Toyota Dealers Association. The campaign is timed to the fall football season and moves from media planning to execution through a single path. Jeremy Cobb, VP at H/L, said: “Our clients get direct access to premium home screen inventory through the same stack as everything else we manage.”

Why it matters

LG’s release calls the Home Screen the place “where the streaming experience begins,” and Magnite says the campaign path removes the manual steps typically required to launch a high-impact streaming campaign. For a buyer, the practical change is that premium TV inventory can be reached from the same agentic tooling used for other buys, which is the pattern we followed in Agentic AI Enters Ad Buying, One Workflow at a Time.

One detail worth reading closely

The exclusive part of the deal covers ad serving: SpringServe is the exclusive CTV video ad server. Magnite is described as a preferred programmatic partner, a different word. In our reading, that wording leaves LG room to sell through other programmatic routes, and it means the question buyers will watch is whether other sellers’ agents gain access to the same Home Screen inventory. Our earlier piece on why ad tech cannot agree on one language for AI buyers covers the standards dispute that decides how easily a buyer can work across several seller agents.
