PharmaForceIQ on November 2 introduced Share of Answer, a module in its Optichannel 360 platform that audits how AI engines describe a drug or disease and turns the gaps into a list of fixes for biopharma marketing teams.
The company defines Share of Answer as the proportion of relevant AI responses in which a therapy or brand is present and represented accurately. According to the release, the module scores answers on four dimensions it calls Present, Accurate, Preferred and Cited, and checks each answer claim by claim. Approved claims are then published, after medical, legal and regulatory (MLR) review, on channels AI engines can read and cite. PharmaForceIQ says the module has supported analyses of more than 10,000 AI-generated responses.
The release reports figures from the company’s own audits. Brand and condition websites accounted for 17% of AI-answer citations on average. In one analysis, answers quoted superseded FDA-approved labeling in nearly 250 responses. For one rare disease, more than half of answers failed to identify the condition when prompted with its abbreviation. In a controlled test on a subset of questions, answer accuracy rose to 94% to 100%.
Why it matters for marketers
Most AI visibility tools count mentions. In regulated categories a mention that repeats an old dose or a withdrawn claim is a liability, so accuracy against approved evidence becomes the metric. The 17% figure also says the brand’s own site is a minority source in the answers buyers read. Our report on AI Overviews reaching 88% of tracked commercial keywords shows how much query volume now passes through those answers.
One practical step
Ask any AI visibility vendor whether it scores answers for accuracy against your approved claims or only for presence, and how it handles retired pages that still get cited. Our opinion piece on volume-weighted AI Overview coverage lists further questions for that conversation.
