Adobe has unveiled CX Enterprise Coworker, an agentic AI system designed to move beyond suggestions and copilot-style assistance into autonomous execution of customer experience workflows. The Coworker monitors signals, recommends next-best actions, and executes experiences across channels in real time based on defined business goals, all with human oversight built into the architecture.

The system is architected on open standards including Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A), integrating with Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, Customer Journey Analytics, and Marketo Engage. It connects enterprise CRM systems and external signals from social, news, and market data to move seamlessly through planning, execution, and optimization phases. Anjul Bhambhri, SVP of Engineering at Adobe, stated: “CX Enterprise Coworker will be the next step for businesses retooling marketing workflows to leverage agentic AI technology.”

The distinction between a “coworker” and a “copilot” matters. Copilots suggest; coworkers do. Adobe is betting that CX will be orchestrated by agents rather than dashboards, with the human role shifting from operator to auditor. General availability is expected in the coming months. For marketing operations teams, this signals that the job title may survive but the job description is being rewritten by the platforms themselves.
