NIQ says Google’s open-source Meridian marketing mix model is now available inside NIQ Cadence, the company’s marketing effectiveness platform, so data, modeling, scenario planning and monitoring sit in one workflow.
The announcement is dated Sept. 30, 2026, from Chicago. NIQ describes Cadence as its “AI-native marketing effectiveness operating system.” According to the release, NIQ’s proprietary global data and a marketer’s own inputs flow into the Meridian model, the model runs inside Cadence, and results move into scenario planning, optimization and ongoing performance monitoring. NIQ lists faster modeling, faster media decisions and continuous monitoring as the benefits. It adds that NIQ has been a certified Meridian partner since 2025.
Why it matters
NIQ frames the product around a gap it reports in its CMO Report: 74% of CMOs said they were under more scrutiny to prove marketing ROI, while 9% felt they had adequate access to real-time insights. It calls the difference a 65-point actionability gap. Jason Tate, General Manager, Marketing Effectiveness at NIQ, said: “Marketing leaders have told us they don’t need another standalone model. They need a faster path from insight to action.”
The release does not give pricing, a launch date by market or named customers, so the claims about speed are NIQ’s own and untested in public.
Our read
This is our analysis, not NIQ’s claim. Meridian’s methodology stays open, but a team using it inside Cadence is also choosing where its data prep, model runs and scenario planning live. Before signing, ask what can be exported if you leave: model configurations, input data and run history. It also fits a pattern we covered in Measurement Is Racing to Catch Up With AI Shopping, where measurement vendors are bundling more of the loop into single products, and in Measurement Disputes Are Moving From the Number to the Definition, where the argument moved from the number to how it is defined.
